I am just one month away from being debt free!

I was initially thinking about paying off everything in the month of June, but my security gland told me that using my emergency fund to finally be debt free is a bad idea. So I'm holding off until next month, my birth month. I think that will be the best present I could get myself: to be free of the chains of debt.

The biggest problem I was having was wanting to delay my debt free status. I know that I could see the light, but I wanted get some stuff-some really nice stuff. I then remembered one of the quotes that Dave Ramsey says on his show: "Children do what feels good. Adults make a plan & execute it." I knew that the stuff that I wanted could wait. In fact, they would wait for a long while.

I need to stay strong this next month. I can see the light.

I'm just about debt free! Just one more month. I can see the light...


However I was really really really really *catches breath* really tempted to get some really cool gear this month. With all the camera gear rising up in prices due to short supply/high demand there were a couple of deals I wanted snag. I kept thinking, I could wait another month to be debt free, it's ok to wait. Then I realized how I've been working really really hard the past couple of years to get to this point: to finally be debt free. I don't want to delay it any more!

First plan of action after clicking over to my final payment is call Dave Ramsey on his radio show. Or I could save up money for a trip to Nashville, TN and tell him myself! I haven't taken a vacation in a while... I definitely need one to go celebrate!

I can't wait for the next couple of months to come by fast!
