Ah.... FINALS ARE OVA!!!

I'm glad I got done with finals a week early. I deserved it. hehe

I feel that I learned more about myself this semester than I did than the other semesters in college. I feel, more confident in what I'm doing, especially in nursing. Talking to the patients, passing meds, filling out paper work; they are all getting easier and I feel more comfortable doing it. I also feel confident about graduating ROTC camp this summer. I wasn't confident in the beginning of the semester, but now I feel that I can even achieve recondo.

Since I'm on vacation, there are a couple things I want to do:

  • Finally pick up my bass guitar and practice again
  • Form an acapella group for fun
  • Finish season 5 of "24"
  • Read a novel that I've been putting off
  • Las Vegas
  • Sleep
  • Paintball
Those are just a couple things. I feel that it's good to "plan" stuff over the summer, but be flexible in what may/may not happen. And always have a backup fun plan just in case. Summer boredom is HORRIBLE. Must try to avoid this as much as possible.

No, no I'm not a schedule freak. I'm not the type of person to wake up everyday at 5am and sleep at 9pm and if I don't I'll totally snap. Summer vacation is the time to relax. But it's good to do stuff that is productive. I feel better at the end of the day that I've accomplished something. There are days where I just want to sleep all day. It's ok to do it. I'm on vacation. I'll just go with the flow.

Lesson of the day:
How to make your own Quizno's mouth-watering sandwich at home

Here is Mr. Jason. He is a sandwich artist and will show you how to make your own toasty sandwich.

First, go to the market and purchase bread, cheese, and meat.
In the picture are sourdough buns, 1/2 lb provolone cheese, and 1lb pastrami.
For flavor, Mr. Jason added bacon bits on the same side as the cheese.

Set the oven on HI broil. Let it the tasty sandwiches toast for 3-4 minutes.

Check every 1-2 minutes for progress. When ready, take them out and let it sit for about a minute.

Then you are ready to eat! mMm... Toasty.
