I am: falling on Jesus

I've been a flurry of emotions lately. This nursing licensing exam is one of the most stressful, frustrating, heartbreaking experiences I have ever faced. Being locked up in my room to study for hours and only going out to use the bathroom and eat isn't the best experience in the world. Despite the hardship (and the longing for physical contact/interaction with people), it's comforting to know that God is always there when I'm down, when I'm depressed, and when I think I can't do it. He is my strength when I am weak, He is the treasure that I seek, He is my all in all.

Chris Rice's Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus) reminds me of Jesus' unconditional love He has for us. All we need to do is come to Him when we are in sorrow, in joy, in pain, and in thankfulness When I remember that I'm not living for myself, but for God, I know He can do great things in me. I want to be the tree firmly planted by streams of water so I can prosper in everything that I do (Psalm 1:3), but to do that I need to come to Jesus.

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!
