I am: wide awake O_O

Sleep is important for the human body. It helps the brain organize the thoughts of the day into long-term memory, helps heal the body, and allows the body to rest. Not having sleep can really mess you up.

I have gotten used to the sleep schedule while here at OBLC. I get to bed early enough so that I can wake up at 4 or 5am in the morning for training. Even while we are in the field we have time to sleep in-between classes and even a chance to sleep at 8pm at night! That's too early for me though.

Over thinking, worrying, and coffee are things that keep me up. Sometimes I won't sleep because I consume myself with my thoughts. Prayer, writing, and talking it out has been helpful, but sometimes I still occupy myself at night when we have down time to sit and worry. I'm glad during the day we are busy so that it is not on my mind, but when I have a chance to sit alone I pick up where I left off and worry/think again.

I need to remember Matthew 6:34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." God is in control. He knows my future and because I am a child of God, He will take care of me, but not only me, but His other children. Including those who have fallen away from His presence. God's grace and mercy are ready to given if they just ask, why don't they just accept it? Hasn't living in pain caused them enough suffering? It amazes me how much pride some people have that they refuse help when given to them. By holding on they believe they are in control. They refuse to let go.

Solution: just let go. Then hold on to Jesus. So easy a blind man, a man with leprosy, a crippled man, a fisherman, a widow, and even a cheating tax collector can do it.
