I am: church hunting

Work has begun! It's pretty easy for now, just orientation for the next couple of weeks. It'll be good to get into a routine again: work, workout, cook, clean, pay bills, etc.

Finding a church has been a problem lately. I thought I found one near my apartment, but my parents want me to find a filipino church. When I tell them about the other church I found they have disapproval in their tone of voice and ask about if I've found a filipino church. I've given the filipino church 2 Sundays, but with no success. The first church told me they moved to the other side of town, 40 mins away, and when I went to it the following Sunday, the sponsoring church said that the filipino church hops every Sunday. A church with a home church building hops from church to church? Something doesn't sound right. Even though my parents know the struggle I'm going through to find these filipinos they still want me to contact them. I'm meh. However, I'm curious to find out what this congregation will be like. I think I'll give them one more shot. However, I'm frustrated. Not even their sponsoring church knows where they are every Sunday.

I've started on the workout routine again at the apt. I need to find a good gym on post so I can find some people to play b-ball with. Good cardio and leg workout. I'm interested in the P90X workout program some of my friends are on. The diet and nutrition is what I need help on. Being on my own means fending for food on my own, but I want to know what healthy meals I can eat while toning up this bod.

President's day weekend is next month! Time to plan for that 3 or 4 day weekend. My commander hasn't told me if we get the 13th as a training holiday. No flying this time, I'll be driving to wherever I'm going. I love exploring, but I hate driving. Ugh.
